Promoting responsibly extracted gold from artisanal and small-scale gold mines.
The Swiss Better Gold Initiative is a public-private partnership between Swiss Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and the Swiss Better Gold Association (SBGA) which aims at the reduction of poverty and improvement of social and environmental conditions in artisanal and small-scale gold mining (ASGM).

Services, Opportunities and Events:
We focus on improving working and living conditions in artisanal small-scale mining communities and facilitating the creation of responsible supply chains from ASGM operations to the international market.
Commitments & Key Aims:
More than an development initiative, the Swiss Better Gold has developed an integrated public-private aproach with following objectives:
1. Artisanal and Small-scale gold miners (ASGM) are part of and benefit from responsible value-chains from mine to market;
2. Improved framework conditions for responsible ASM;
3. Coordinated and well disseminated good practices for responsible gold.
